RoHS / REACH Statement

About RoHS and REACH

What is RoHS Compliance?

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) is a special set of guidelines put in place by the European Union. This initiative places restrictions on 10 chemicals and substances that can sometimes appear in electronics.

The majority of Quell Corporation products are RoHS compliant. This means, we meet the thresholds under EU Directive 2015/863/EU and any subsequent amendments.

Quell Corporation cannot guarantee that inventory held by distributors or other third parties is RoHS compliant.

What does ROHS Compliance mean for you?

As we all know, the number of electronics we use in our everyday lives is skyrocketing. RoHS ensures products are safe to use, while reducing hazardous chemicals in electronics waste. RoHS-compliant products are better for you and the planet.

Are all EESeals RoHS compliant?

Certain customers require parts that are not RoHS compliant. However, we segregate the manufacturing, storage, and handling of these products to minimize any potential cross-contamination between ROHS-compliant products and other products in our line.

Are EESeals REACH Compliant?

The Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is another EU regulation that limits the use of certain chemical substances. We do not manufacture or supply “substances” or “preparations,” and our articles do not involve the “intentional release of substances”. Accordingly, we foresee no registration or pre-registration requirement for the EESeals we supply.

Quell Corporation products (EESeal EMI FilterSeal) do not contain Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) above the threshold value declared as per ECHA updated as of June 2023 with 235 SVHC.
